Once you have set up your Sitebot's identity, purpose, and functionality, it's time to bring it to life by adding visual elements, embedding it on your website, and indexing your data. Follow these steps to complete the process:
Upload a square icon (e.g., 200px x 200px) to represent your chatbot.
The icon will be displayed on a dark background and will be visible on the public bot page if you make your Sitebot public or add it to the marketplace.
Choose an icon that clearly represents your brand or Sitebot's purpose.
To embed the chat widget on your website, copy the provided code snippet.
Paste the code just before the closing tag in your website's HTML.
Detailed guides are available for various platforms, including WordPress, HTML sites, Playfix webbuilder, Shopify, and others.
Follow the specific instructions for your platform to ensure proper integration.
Indexing your website's content allows your chatbot to access and provide relevant information to users.
Click "Add a Site" and enter the URL of the website you want to index, such as your main website, documentation site, or wiki.
Playfix's spider will start indexing all the content from the provided website.
You can add multiple sites to your index, allowing your chatbot to draw information from various sources.
Note that there may be limits on the number of pages that can be indexed, depending on your subscription level.
You can refresh the index at any time by clicking the "Refresh" button, which triggers the spider to revisit your site and update the index with any changes or updates.
If needed, you can delete a site from your index by clicking the "Delete" button. However, be cautious as this action is irreversible, and re-adding the site will start the indexing process from scratch.
While there are currently no limits on the number of times you can add or refresh your site, keep in mind that future subscription levels may impose certain restrictions on indexing limits.
In addition to websites, you can add individual documents to your Sitebot's index, such as Word docs, PDFs, and more.
Documents must be added one at a time, but there are no limits on the number or size of documents you can include.
Note that future subscription levels may introduce some limits on document indexing.
By following these steps and leveraging the indexing capabilities of Playfix, you can create a chatbot that not only has a well-defined identity and purpose but also draws upon a rich knowledge base to provide valuable information and assistance to your users.
Remember to regularly update and maintain your index to keep your chatbot's responses fresh and accurate.
